Get Cheryl Cole's Makeup Look
Because she's worth it...
When it comes to glamour, Cheryl Cole always seems to get it right in the beauty department.
With her long, glam eyelashes, toothy dimpled smile and enviable cheekbones, Cheryl’s flawless beauty is probably one of the most sought after looks that girls all over the world want to emulate.
Miss Cole (or perhaps now Tweedy) always matches her makeup looks to whatever outfit she is wearing in order to look as perfectly groomed and glam as possible. Her lip colour changes from time to time but she consistently sports her signature bronzed sculpted cheekbones and heavily lined eyes for a pretty, doll-like look.
It has been rumoured that Chezza spends thousand’s of pounds on hair and makeup before a big event and the outcome is most certainly worth it!
Here’s one way to copy one of her best summer makeup looks without going bankrupt!
Step One - Base: Cheryl's skin is always flawless and dewy. It is rumoured that the Girls Aloud singer wears Loreal's Infalliable foundation in Golden Sand to achieve her perfect skin. However to get that gorgeous glow she always have, mix a small amount of golden liquid highlighter with the foundation on the back of the hand then apply all over the face with a foundation or kabuki brush.
After applying this, use an illuminating concealor pen such as Loreal Touche Magic or YSL's infamous Touche Eclat pen to highlight the undereyes, bridge of the nose, centre of the forehead and top of the cheekbones for even more emphasis on bone structure.
Lightly powder the centre of the skin with loose powder to ensure your base lasts all day long.
Step Two - Cheeks: Cheryl is famous for her sculpted cheekbones so it is important to use a bronzing powder to achieve this look. First use a matte bronzer such as Benefit Hoola bronzer or Sleek Makeups contour palette to sculpt the face. Use a tapered or angled brush to lightly powder the hollows of your cheekbones to the top of the ears. Also take the bronzer and sweep over the forehead, nose and chin to get that sunkissed glow Cheryl has. Use a pink blush on the cheeks such as Mac blush in Melba to make the cheeks really "pop."
Step Three - Eyes: Cheryl has gorgeous eyes and always emphasises them by using smokey golden and bronze tones to really make her brown eyes pop.
Using a liner brush gently line on a bronzey gold eyeshadow under the lower lids and the inner corners of the eye. Mac's Bronze eyeshadow is perfect for this look. Try this trick: To get Cheryl's winged eyeshadow look, use a bank card to create an angle on the side of the eye where to place a brown eyeshadow and blend into the crease of the eye socket winging it out at the sides.
Then apply a subtle black eyeliner to the lower insides of the eyelids and blend with the bronze shadow. Loreal do a great kohl eyeliner pencil.
If there is any stray bits of shadow that have fallen on the face dip a cotton bud into makeup remover and gently sweep it off. Touch up the under eyes, bridge of the nose and the cupid’s bow with a brush concealer to get your skin gleaming.
For bambi eyes like Cheryl’s curl lashes and apply tons of volumising mascara to open up the eyes. Add false eyelashes for a really glamorous effect. I use Cheryl’s very own Eylure lashes to create a natural but wide-eyed look. After applying the lashes and they have dried perfectly, use a liquid or preferably a gel eyeliner to line the top of the falsies so that there is an even line across the eyelid. Slightly flick the liner out at the outer edge of the eye for a feline almond eye like Cheryl’s.
Step Four - Lips: For Cheryl's natural lip look, first line lips with a pinkish nude lipliner such as Loreal Rose Vintage, as used in Cheryl's Vogue cover shoot. Next apply a nude lipstick such as Mac's Honey Love lipstick mixed with a soft pink lipstick to create a natural look. Apply Loreal lipgloss in Melon.
There we have it! Our own Cheryl Cole makeup look perfect for a glam night out on the town. To achieve her overall perfect look, use heated rollers all over the hair to add lots of volume and bounce. Once the rollers are cool, take them out and spray hairspray all over to set. You may need to backcomb the roots of the hair to get that big hair look like Cheryl.
